In honor of this exciting day, here is a small sample. Enjoy!

Audrey had not made up her mind as to which project Mzuri should do next.  Mzuri was anxious to work but was thankful for this time off. She wanted to do something fun because the last 3 years of her life was so very serious; after filming “Crying” she had done 4 more films that will soon need her for promotions. Marcus had suggested that Mzuri go out of town with some friends.

“Go to Europe over the summer” Marcus said. “It’s gorgeous this time of year, by the time you come back your mother and I will have narrowed down your next project. You’ll be working again before you know it. Enjoy this time, you deserve it.”
Mzuri agreed.
Audrey decided to take some time off as well. One weekend she went to Las Vegas with her friend, Carrie.  She was skeptical about being in Vegas again; the last time she was there was when she was married. These thoughts were soon put out of her mind because the town looks so very different; it too had changed drastically in the past 20 years, she thought.

They were enjoying a cocktail by the Rock&Roll Hotel pool, when she noticed someone familiar.
It was a young man, looked to be in his late 20s or early thirties, about 6’ tall with dirty blonde hair, and a muscular build; he was wearing sunglasses.
Carrie noticed her friend staring at the man and asked “see something you like?”
“Oh no!” said Audrey, blushing, “he is much too young. He just looks familiar, I can’t figure out why…”
